IARC awards
Award Applications are due by Monday, September 28th, 2026.
Applications should be submitted to Brian Long at director@iarc.cc.
The IARC awards are intended to recognize Regions that have demonstrated extraordinary efforts to promote their Region and regionalism. Awardees will be announced at the Awards Breakfast on October 29, 2026 at the joint MPO/IARC Annual Conference in Kokomo. Awardees will receive an IARC Regional Award, a press release, and have their photo taken at the Annual Conference Award’s Breakfast. The photo and press release will be sent to each of the awardees after the Awards Luncheon to share with their regional partners, stakeholders, and media outlets.
promoting regionalism
The Promoting Regionalism Award will be given to a region that has gone above and beyond to promote regionalism outside its current regional borders. Award recipients must have worked with a local government that is not within their current region boundaries.
Accelerating economic development
The Accelerating Economic Development Award will be given to a region that has completed a project that has improved the economic development in the region by adding jobs and increasing private sector investment.
Improving quality of public infrastructure
The Improving the Quality of Public Infrastructure Award will be given to a region that has completed a project that has improved the quality of public infrastructure in their region.
advancing redevelopment
The Advancing Redevelopment Award will recognize a region that has successfully completed a redevelopment project within their region.
Rules for Submission:
All nominees must be a member of IARC in good standing.
Only two (2) applications per member region can be submitted.
All applicants must demonstrate the project has a regional benefit.
